Obituary

Adolphe (Bill) William Engler, Jr., age 79, of Williamstown, NJ, passed away peacefully on November 3, 2021 at the Veterans Memorial Home in Vineland.

He was a New Jersey native; born in Woodbury, resided in and graduated from Pitman High School ('60), raised his children in Woodbury, spent a few years in Williamstown before making his final destination in Vineland.

Bill was an Airman in the United States Air Force, serving as a Military Police Officer; making him a Proud US Military Veteran.  He was previously employed by Crown Cork and Seal Co., FCR Camden Inc. and Babies R Us. Bill enjoyed gardening, camping, and spending time at the shore.  Over the years, if you couldn't find him tinkering, he would be seated on various SJ fields watching his grandchildren play sports.  He was also an avid Eagles and Phillies fan and enjoyed volunteering at the Food Bank at The First United Methodist Church in Williamstown.

His wife Judy (nee Scott) was his first and last thought each and every day over the past 50+ years. He was a proud father of Dave Engler (Sherry), Jeff Engler (Fran), Colleen Croge (Mike), Lynn Selfridge, and Leslee Engler.  He is survived by many loving grandchildren, who are "Practically Perfect" in their own way.  He was the favorite baby brother of Mary Lou Karkuff and the late Gale Nichols.

Family and friends are invited to his celebration of life on Saturday, December 18th from 10:00 - 11:30 AM at the Farnelli Funeral Home, 504 N. Main Street, Williamstown, where a funeral service will be held at 11:30 AM.  Interment will follow at the Gloucester County Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Williamstown.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Veterans Memorial Home.  Please make checks payable to NJ VMH Welfare Fund and mail to NJ Veterans Memorial Home, Attn: Life Enrichment, 524 Northwest Blvd., Vineland, NJ 08360 or to The First United Methodist Church of Williamstown, https://1umcwilliamstown.com/give .
