Alfons "Eric" Celius, age 79, of Williamstown, NJ, passed away on August 20, 2024. Born in Germany, Eric spent his formative years in New Brunswick, New Jersey.

Eric was just a cool guy. It didn't matter if you called him Al or Eric, he made friends wherever he went. Eric never veered from his authentic self. He never once apologized for who he was. That is something that will remain in our hearts and inspire us.

Eric enjoyed creating art. A photographer, painter, and mixed media artist, Eric's later works concentrated on collage. Despite not having formal training as an artist or carpenter, he excelled at both–from bookshelves to fine art. No matter what the format was, Eric's art elicited a strong response from the viewer.

He is survived by his wife, Cristine Celius (nee Block). He is the loving father of Katherine Elizabeth Celius and Jenna Margaret Celius.  He is the dear brother of Valeria Sexton.

Services will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, the family requests you make a memorial contribution to the political party of your choice.
