Aloisia “Susie” Rafferty, 91, of Deptford Twp, NJ., passed away peacefully on August 17, 2026. 

Born in Vienna, Austria, Susie came to the United States in the 1960s and built a life filled with family, hard work, and countless memories. She was a strong and independent woman with a personality that could light up a room, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Throughout her career, Susie worked at Ron Jaworski’s Eagles Nest Country Club, where she served as a tournament director and golf course manager. She took great pride in her work and was well known in the area for her dedication and inventiveness. For a person who had never picked up a golf club in her entire life somehow managed so much success that she was contacted for tips and advice from people as far away as western Pennsylvania. 

Susie leaves behind a lifetime of memories, stories, laughter, and love. Her journey from Vienna to the life she created here in America is a testament to her strength and determination. Most of all, she will be remembered as a mother, a wife, a family member, and friend whose presence will never truly leave the hearts of those who loved her. 

Susie was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Joe Rafferty, who passed away in 2007. Susie was a devoted mother to her daughter, Jessica Estey (Larry Spera) and her son, David Estey (Colleen). Susie had a very special place in her heart for the family’s dogs, Obi, Penny, and Butters, whom she loved dearly.
