Obituary

Anthony Frabizio, lovingly known as Tony, passed away on November 5, 2026, at the age of 102. Born on April 20, 1924, in Camden, New Jersey, Tony lived an extraordinary life spanning more than a century. He was a longtime resident of Franklinville, New Jersey.

Tony began working at a young age, spending his early teenage years working for the Campbell Soup Company. At just 18 years old, he was drafted into the United States Navy in 1942, proudly serving his country during World War II. Following his discharge, he continued his maritime career with the Merchant Marines. He later worked as a mechanic on tugboats at the Philadelphia Naval Shipyard and spent many years working with the Boilermakers Union, including work in dredging. He eventually concluded his long and varied career installing sprinkler systems. Throughout his working years, Tony demonstrated a remarkable work ethic, versatility, and dedication to keeping busy.

In his younger years, Tony enjoyed an adventurous side, with a love for fast cars and motorcycles. He also had a special fondness for dachshunds, often having several as pets and even breeding them on occasion.

Tony’s passion for fitness began in his younger years, when he was an avid bodybuilder. So dedicated was he to the sport that he built his own homemade gym in the basement of his home. Although his bodybuilding days eventually gave way to a simpler approach to fitness, his commitment to staying active never wavered. He continued exercising in his own unique ways throughout his life, right up until his final days. His family believes that his lifelong dedication to keeping active played a significant role in his remarkable longevity and helped keep him going for 102 years.

Tony was the beloved husband of Beatrice (nee Caple), with whom he shared 56 years of marriage. When they married, Bea’s daughter Jackie was just five years old, and Tony embraced the role of her father, raising her as his own. He was, and always will be, her dad in every sense of the word. Together, Tony and Bea built a life and family filled with love and lasting memories.

He is survived by his wife, Beatrice Frabizio, his daughter, Jackie Fortunato and her husband, James Fortunato Sr., and his grandchildren Chelsea Fortunato and James Fortunato Jr. He also leaves behind a group of in-laws, nieces, and nephews whom he kept near to his heart. He was predeceased by his parents, Caesar and Mary Frabizio, and his older brother, Joseph Frabizio.

Tony was a true conversationalist who never met a stranger. He loved chatting with anyone and everyone and had a personality that naturally drew people in. He also had a playful sense of humor, and his famous Donald Duck voice impression was something family and friends will always remember with a smile. He enjoyed the comforts of home and being cared for by his wife, Bea, something he deeply appreciated throughout their many years together.

Having lived 102 fulfilling years, Tony experienced more than most could imagine. He outlived many generations of family and friends, leaving behind a lifetime of memories, stories, and connections with the people he encountered along the way.

Tony will be remembered for his incredible longevity, strong work ethic, adventurous spirit, love of conversation, playful humor, dedication to fitness, and unmistakable personality. His family will forever cherish the memories of their beloved husband, father, uncle, and Pop Pop.

Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Saturday, November 14, 2026, from 10:00 -11:30 AM, at the Farnelli Funeral Home, 504 N. Main Street, Williamstown, NJ. Funeral Service will begin at 11:30 AM. Burial will follow in Porchtown Methodist Cemetery, Franklinville, NJ.
