Barbara Katherine Bickley (nee Gimbar), age 84, and long-time resident of Pennsauken, NJ passed away on February 22, 2025. She was predeceased by her parents, Margaret Augustine Gimbar (nee Federovicz) and John Gimbar, Sr. & dear brother, John Gimbar, Jr. Barbara was a treasured aunt to her three nieces Ariana Bree, Aleesha Brandy Shea and Alana Hollee Spring Stamper-Gimbar and loving Godmother to Christine Phillips.

Barbara attended Seton Hall, Glassboro State College, Rutgers University and University of Pennsylvania. She received her advanced degree to become a reading specialist. She had a special gift in teaching students who struggled with learning how to read and write. Barbara taught 41 years in the public school system, in Scarsdale, New York and Fairfield, Connecticut, but she spent the majority of her career as a reading specialist for Cinnaminson Public Schools in Burlington County. A true Capricorn, she also worked for a time in the Financial district of Wall Street in NYC.

Although she loved her career in education, her favorite role was one of doting "Aunt Bobbie" to her three nieces. She had always dreamed of traveling on the largest cruise ship in the world, and fulfilled this dream while traveling along the Queen Elizabeth 2 with her nieces Hollee and Shea.

Barbara loved news, fashion and trivia and was especially good at Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy. She was an avid historian and was most notably knowledgeable about British royalty.

Barbara was a lifetime Catholic and long-time congregant of Saint Michael Ukrainian Catholic Church in Cherry Hill and later St. Peter's Catholic Church in Merchantville. A graveside service will be held at 2pm on March 14, 2025 pm at Lakeview Memorial Park, Cinnaminson.
