Barbara A. Imes Jorden, age 85, of Franklinville, NJ, passed away on June 2, 2023.

Barbara was born on January 20, 1938 to Thomas Henry Imes and Anna Mae Coleman Imes.  Raised in Philadelphia, she spent her summer months with family in Franklinville, NJ.  She worked as a stenographer for the City of Philadelphia, before retiring and was a devoted member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Glassboro.  An avid quilter, she was especially known for her love of textiles.  Barbara was an award-winning quilter, loved to make clothing and dolls for her family and friends.  Affectionately known as "Auntie Bobb," she will be deeply missed by her family.

Beloved mother of Brenda Elizabeth Jorden (James Cole).  Treasured sister of Jacqueline Anita Imes Jenkins and sister-in-law of Arnetta Imes. Devoted aunt of John Jenkins (Terry), James Jenkins (Cinnone), Charles Imes (Debra) and was a great aunt and second mother to Omar, Shellise, Sahmad, Malcolm, Jaimie, Maya, Mariah, Robert, Jr., Charles, Jr., and Sabrina.  Loving grandmother of Nylah and Julissa.  Dear childhood friend of Delores Turner.  Also survived by a host of many dear quilting friends and family members.  She was preceded in death by her grandson Devereaux-James Henry Jorden, brother Thomas Andrew Imes, and nephew Robert Jenkins.

Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Saturday, June 10th from 1:30 – 2:30 PM at the St. Thomas Episcopal Church, 212 N. Main Street, Glassboro, where a funeral service will be held at 2:30 PM.  Interment will be held privately.  June 10th is a date near and dear to the Jorden family.  Four years ago on that very day, they suffered the unimaginable loss of their grandson, Devereaux-James Henry Jorden.  He and his "Nana" are in heaven having a wonderful reunion and celebration.
