Betty Jo Condell (nee Scordo), age 54, of Sicklerville, formerly Hammonton, NJ., went home to be with the Lord on August 13th, 2026.

Betty was known for her warm heart, unwavering faith, and deep devotion to her family. She was a woman of incredible strength who spent her life caring for others and putting the people she loved before herself. Betty was a devoted wife and a loving mother who dedicated her life to raising her two daughters and giving them the best life she could. She was a hard worker who always wanted to provide more for her family and make their lives easier. She worked as a hairdresser while attending nursing school, eventually becoming a Registered Nurse. She dedicated over 17 years to nursing, where she went above and beyond to advocate for her patients and their families. She worked hard, sacrificed much, and rarely put herself first. So much of what she did throughout her life was for the people she loved. She was a proud grandmother, lovingly known as Nanny to her grandchildren. Being their Nanny brought her a special kind of joy, and she cherished every moment she shared with them. The love she had for them was immeasurable. Betty had a special love for animals and always tried to help any animal in need. She especially adored her grand dogs, Judah, Luca, Jasmine, and Piglet, and spoiled them all.

Above all, Betty was a woman of tremendous faith. Her relationship with Jesus was at the center of her life and gave her strength through every hardship she faced. Even when she felt weak, she would remind herself, “God gives me strength.” She carried that faith with her until her very last breath, believing with all her heart that she was going home to be with Jesus. She often quoted, “Jesus is the light of the world,” and held firmly to the truth that His Word does not come back void.

Betty endured many trials, yet her love for her family remained constant. She gave so much of herself throughout her life so that those she loved could have more. Her strength, faith, compassion, generosity, love, and the sacrifices she made for her family will never be forgotten.

Dear sister of Joy Alexander (Dan) and Frank Scordo IV. Adoring grandmother of Lydia Gaudiosi and Vincent Pascone. Cherished aunt of Daniel Alexander, Gianna Alexander, and Bry’Ann Clark.

Though our hearts ache at her absence, the love she gave, the strength she showed, and the faith she carried will remain with us always. We find comfort knowing that her faith has brought her home to Jesus, and that this is not goodbye, but until we meet again in Heaven.”

Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Thursday, August 20th, 2026, from 10:00 AM-11:00 AM, at Calvary Chapel 660 S Egg Harbor Rd Hammonton, NJ 08037. Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 AM. Cemetery information will be provided shortly.
