Carmen Iacovone, age 79, of Williamstown, NJ, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on February 19, 2026. Born in Woodbury, NJ, he lived in Blackwood Terrace and Almonesson before moving to Williamstown in 1978.
Carmen was a graduate of Deptford Twp. High School, Class of 1966 and a graduate of Gloucester County Community College, Class of 1973. He was a US Navy veteran of the Vietnam War. He served the Monroe Twp. Police Department for 29 years before retiring with the rank of Captain. He was a member of the Monroe Twp. FOP Lodge #125, the American Legion Post #252, former officer of the American Legion Post #424 and a member of the International Club in Murrells Inlet in South Carolina. Carmen enjoyed golfing, spending time with his grandchildren and for the last 20 years enjoyed time at his home in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
Beloved husband of 58 years to Linda A. Iacovone (nee Haas). Devoted father of Walter Iacovone (Erika Lower) and Carmen Iacovone, Jr. (Terri). Dear father-in-law of the late Debra Iacovone. Loving grandfather of Ryan, Austin, Emily and Lucas. Loving step grandfather of Michael, Ashley, Riley and Noah. Dear brother of Joseph Iacovone (Jean) and the late Louis Iacovone, Jr. (the late Helen). Loving son of the late Louis Iacovone, Sr. and the late Elizabeth Iacovone (nee Kniebler).
Funeral services will be announced at a later date.
