Charles Manz Brangan, Jr., "Butch", age 80, of Williamstown, NJ, was united with his wife Carole with the Lord Jesus on November 21, 2024.
Butch was born in Camden, New Jersey, at his grandparents' house on Locust Street. His family later moved to Grenloch and eventually established a home in Cross Keys. He attended Williamstown High School, Gloucester County College, and furthered his education at DeVry Institute of Technology and Thomas Edison College.
He was a committed member of the Wesleyan Church at Gloucester, Woodbury, Blackwood, and Glassboro, where he served as both an usher and a trustee.
In his community, Butch managed a senior Little League baseball team, demonstrating his leadership and passion for youth activities. Professionally, he spent 30 years with AT&T as a communication technician and plant manager, retiring in July 2000 from the Tuckerton Fiber Optic Landing Station.
Butch had a deep love for classic cars, especially GTOs. You could find him many Saturdays at the Berlin Auction or visiting car junkyards in search of treasures.
He also served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War as part of the 2nd Gun Battery, 5th Artillery, earning the rank of Specialist 4 (SP4). His service to his country was an important part of his life.
Husband to his precious wife, Carole J. Brangan who passed away on October 2, 2013. Father to Michelle Cooper, the late Nicolle Vezza and the late Danielle Brangan. Loving grandfather of Matthew, the late Jonathan, Danielle, Vincent and Aubrey. Treasured great grandfather to Jiseli, Lincoln, and Mckenna.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Saturday, November 30th from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at Farnelli Funeral Home, 504 N. Main St. Williamstown, NJ, where a service will be held at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow at Cross Keys Methodist Cemetery, Williamstown.
