Christopher H.
Civatte
May 13, 1968 – February 4, 2024
Christopher H. Civatte, age 55, of Williamstown, NJ, passed away suddenly on February 4, 2024. Born on May 13, 1968 in Stratford, NJ, Chris grew up in Barrington, Runnemede, and Sicklerville, NJ, as well as lived several years in South Philadelphia prior to moving to Williamstown, NJ with his wife and children.
Chris graduated from Temple University with a Bachelor's degree in marketing. While attending college, Chris worked at his father's business, Shade Mart, overseeing manufacturing and installation of window treatments as well as leading in-home sales. From there he worked for Kay & Sons, LLC as an installer on large commercial window treatment jobs. Chris then went on to become a senior sales representative for RCN before moving to Comcast. Chris also owned Sunlite Blinds and Shades for numerous years.
Chris was a die-hard Dolphins fan, but also enjoyed the Philly sports teams. In his younger years, Chris was frequently a guest on 610 WIP sports radio, known as "The Bad Rapper" with his song parodies and "Man on the Street" interviews. Chris loved to make people laugh and was extremely creative. He always had a smile on his face and a joke to tell. He was an entertainer. If there was an open mic and music, he was up on stage doing what he enjoyed.
He was a devoted and proud father who loved taking his family on vacations, sporting practices and games, going to the movies as well as day trips to Ocean City, NJ. He was a spontaneous man who loved to just get up and go somewhere and check out new places. He made every outing fun and adventurous.
Chris was thrilled to recently meet his biological family and spend time with them before he passed.
Chris leaves behind his wife, Andrea M. (née Bagden), his children, Crisandra, Christopher, Jr. and Liam. Chris was predeceased by his father, Hugh (Duke) and mother Barbara (Bobbi) (née Hand).
Chris will be missed by not only his immediate family but his lifelong friends.
At the family's wishes, services will be held privately.
