Clare Davis (nee Cogan), age 94, of Williamstown, NJ, formerly of Pitman and Clayton, passed away peacefully on March 27, 2025.

Clare was born on September 5, 1930, the fifth of ten children, to Elizabeth Cogan (nee Moore) and Francis J. Cogan. Clare was raised in Pitman, NJ, attended New Jersey State Teachers College at Glassboro, and taught elementary school in Pitman. She loved sports of all kinds and excelled at field hockey in high school and college. Clare raised a family of six before returning to teaching in Clayton. In her later years, Clare enjoyed playing cards or bingo with friends, reading, doing her puzzles, and enjoying a good cup of tea. She found great joy in family and watching her Philadelphia Phillies.

Beloved wife of 67 years to the late Robert D. Davis, Sr. Devoted mother of Joseph Davis (Donna), Larry Davis (Debbie), Robert Davis, Jr. (Teresa), Donald Davis (Hayley), Harry Davis (Susan), and Robin Hayward (Bryan). Loving grandmother to 16 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild. Dear sister of Leslie "Pook" Cogan and Mary Lou "Susie" McCarthy.

Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation on Friday, April 4th from 11:00 AM- 12:00 PM at the Farnelli Funeral Home, 504 N. Main Street, Williamstown, where a memorial service will be held at 12:00 PM.
