Daniel Stephen Fratto went home to be with Jesus on May 14, 2022, at age 75 surrounded by his family.
Dan was born to Kay (Laury) and Sam Fratto on May 6, 1947, in Vineland, NJ. As a child, he loved going to Sunday School and church, enjoyed learning to play the piano, hanging out with his cousins, and playing softball with his neighborhood friends.
Dan met his wife, Sandy (Masiongale), in 1973 at Westside Assembly of God Church in Marion, Indiana, where he was the Associate Pastor. They married 6 months later in 1973 and went on to have one child, Sara, and 3 grandchildren.
In addition to being a dedicated and loving father, Dan loved doing the Lord's work and working in a public setting. Dan was a graduate of Vineland High School class of 1965 and held degrees from the University of Valley Forge (B.S. degree of Bible) and Grand Canyon University (M.Ed. degree in Curriculum and Instruction). At age 23, Dan pastored his first church in Kitzmiller, Maryland. He served as an Associate Pastor in Maryland, Ohio, Indiana, and New Jersey. For 25 years, he was the Pastor of Calvary Assembly in Williamstown, NJ. Also, Dan served as a Substitute Teacher in Washington Township, Vineland, Pitman, Black Horse Pike Regional School District, Clayton, and Deptford Township. Dan was an accomplished Gospel pianist and has played for churches, rallies, and college choir tours, as well as directing choir in a few churches. Throughout his entire life, he held an unwavering faith in God, which he shared with those who surrounded him.
Dan joins his parents (Samuel and Katherine Fratto), brother (Phillip Fratto), grandmother, aunts, uncles and cousins who have already passed into Heaven. He is survived by his wife Sandy; daughter Sara and her husband DJ Mosley; 3 grandchildren Kevin, Luke, and Sam; sister-in-law Mari Fratto; brother Glenn Fratto (Liz); sister Kimberly Wozunk (George); as well as many nieces and nephews.
The memorial service will be held on Sunday, June 5 th , 2022, at St. John's United Methodist Church, 149 Ganttown Road, Turnersville, NJ. Relatives and friends will be received for visitation from 2:00 -3:00 PM, followed by a service held from 3:00 -4:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate assistance with funeral expenses.
