Daniel (Dan) Harry Wiggins passed away on February 1, 2025 at the age of 96 at Arbor Terrace at Prince William in Virginia. He resided in Turnersville, NJ for 75 years prior to moving to Arbor Terrace in February of 2023 to be closer to his family.

Dan was born February 8, 1928 to the late Harry Wiggins and Lillian Wiggins (nee Kirby) in Philadelphia, PA.  His early years were spent in Philadelphia before moving to Blackwood, NJ with his family. Towards the end of WW II, Dan joined the US Merchant Maines and was discharged at the end of WW II.

He married his beloved wife, Grace L. (nee Cheesman), predeceased on August 8, 1947. Dan spent much of his married life in Washington Township, NJ and became a Democrat activist in the Township fighting for equality in the Township government.  Dan was a long-time union member, first with Teamsters Local 115 and later with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 1158.

Dan is survived by his son Harry, daughter-in-law Jo Anne, grandson, Jonathan Wiggins, his wife Loretto; grandson, Christopher (9/30/1973-8/1/2022), daughter-in law Patience Wiggins, and six great grandchildren Piper, Emily, Prince, Christopher, Logan and Carter.

A private family service will be held in New Jersey, and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
