Obituary

David E. Duncan, Jr., 98, of Williamstown, NJ, passed away on May 23, 2024.

Mr. Duncan was a retired Staff Sgt. in the US Army with 21 years of service, serving in World War II, Korean War and the Vietnam War.  Along with his wife, Mr. Duncan operated Duncan's Plant Farm in Williamstown for 45 years. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, a member of the American Legion Post #252 and a member of the 6666 Hunting Club.   He enjoyed hunting, playing the Harmonica and was an avid Phillies fan.

Beloved husband of 70 years to Anneliese Duncan (nee Rottler).  Devoted father of Harriet Duncan, Silvia Turner (Dennis) and Harald Ruhmann.  Loving grandfather of Dakota Duncan Hoffman (Jackie) and Nadine Ruhmann.  Dear brother of the late Mildred Townsend (the late George).  Also survived by nieces, nephews and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Thursday May 30th from 10:00 – 11:00 am at the Farnelli Funeral Home, 504 N. Main Street, Williamstown, where a service will be held at 11:00 am.  Burial with military honors will follow in the Gloucester County Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Williamstown.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church, 1002 S. Main Street, Williamstown, NJ 08094.
