David William Smeltzer, age 56, of Milford, DE, passed away on July 23, 2026 surrounded by his loving family. Born in Philadelphia, PA, he grew up in Williamstown, NJ, and lived in Pitman, NJ before moving to Milford, DE.

Dave was a graduate of Williamstown High School, Class of 1988 and later graduated from Rowan University with a Bachelor of Economics. He was a US Air Force veteran of Operation Desert Storm. Dave was a Mail Courier for the State of Delaware. Dave enjoyed Star Wars, building Legos with his sons and always kept everyone laughing.

Devoted father of Jacob Kenneth Smeltzer (Taralynn) and Mark David Smeltzer. Loving son of Kenneth and Patricia Smeltzer. Dear brother of

Joelle Siligrini (Anthony), Michael Smeltzer (Edward Ortiz) and Amanda Clippinger (Scott). Dear uncle of Isabella & Chloe Siligrini and Drew, Brett, Cole, Troy and Joelle Clippinger. Also survived by aunts, uncles and cousins.

Services are being held privately at Finn’s Point National Cemetery in Pennsville, NJ.
