Dudley Roy Butler at the age of 85 years, passed away peacefully on January 26, 2022 at his home in Williamstown, NJ.

Dudley was born to Frederick Butler and Florizel Agatha Clarke, lovingly known as "Darling" on November 20, 1936, in St. Ann, Jamaica. He was the first born of their 13 children.

After Dudley graduated from Calabar High School of Kingston, Jamaica, he traveled frequently to the US where he established residence in 1961. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam War.

A graduate of Atlantic County College, Dudley worked for many years as a Union Electrician in the I.B.E.W. Local 351 until he retired in 2002. After which he volunteered as a full time minister of Jehovah's Witnesses.

Dudley had an avid love for soccer. He enjoyed traveling, gardening, studying the Bible and spending time with his family and friends.

Beloved husband of Barbara Butler (nee Clowney-Smith).  Devoted father of Maria Mason, Douglas Butler (Devone), Theresa Fryer, Latishe DeCosta (Dino), Zara White (Joseph), Robert Smith and Vicki Smith.    Dear brother of the siblings preceding him Faye Butler, Geraldine Brown, Doreen Butler and Howard Butler and survived by his siblings Leslie Butler, Frederick Butler, Churchill Butler, Manley Butler, Harold Butler, Lucille Muschette, Dorothy Butler, Valerie Zeigler along with many grandchildren nieces, nephews and cousins.

He will be missed by many.

Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Sunday, February 6 ^th from 3:00 – 5:00 PM at the Farnelli Funeral Home, 504 N. Main Street, Williamstown. Private cremation will follow.    A zoom memorial service will be held at a later date.
