Obituary

Earl "Joe" Lawrence, Jr., of Elk Twp. passed away, December 29, 2022 surrounded by his loving family.  He lived in Elk Twp. for most of his 79 years.

Joe, as everyone called him, worked for Boeing, Vertol Div. for 10 years building helicopters.  He then worked for K-tron in Pitman.  Working as a mechanical engineer, supervisor, and manager for 38 years until his retirement.  Joe was a volunteer fireman for many years and attained the Chief status.  He also served Elk Twp. as their fire official for a number of years.

Joe loved mechanics.  Always in his element when taking something apart or putting it back together.  His motto, "If you can't fix it, it wasn't worth the price or effort in making."  He was very community oriented and volunteered for many years as a baseball coach and midget league football coach while his children were growing up.  He loved camping and anything that gave him time with family.  An avid lifetime Eagles fan, we pray that the good Lord favors the Eagles, so they can watch the game together, if they go to the Super Bowl.

Leaving behind, the love of his life for 57 years, his wife Concetta "Connie" Lawrence (nee Menna).  Proud father to Douglas (Jill) and Daniel (Teri).  Special Pop to grandchildren Jacqueline (Andrew Anderson), D.J., Jeremy (Victoria Lombardi), and Cody (Kourtney Pyle).  Brother to Beverly Sanders (Joe) and Frank Pickering (Debbie).  Son of the late Anna Pickering (Reinhold) and the late Earl Lawrence. Grandson of the late Kurt Reinhold and the late Barbara Reinhold.

Relatives and friends are invited to Joe's viewing on Wednesday, January 4 th from 6:00 – 9:00 pm at the Farnelli Funeral Home, 504 N. Main Street, Williamstown.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 11:00 am at the Church of the Nativity / St. Michael the Archangel Parish, 2677 Delsea Drive, Franklinville.  Burial will be held privately by the family.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Joe's memory to a charity of your choice.
