Edmond F. MacDonald, age 88, a lifelong resident of Williamstown, NJ, passed away on January 9, 2026.

Ed was a graduate of Glassboro High School and went on to receive his associate's degree from Temple University and graduated from LaSalle University with a Bachelor's of Science degree.

Ed worked as an engineer for GE in Philadelphia, later retiring from Lockheed Martin in Valley Forge, PA after many years.  He was a dedicated member for over 54 years with the Williamstown Fire Company, where he served as the fire company's historian and photographer. Ed was also a member of the Knights of Columbus Mater Christi Council #3352 and the Williamstown Kiwanis.  He was an avid photographer and cherished going down the shore to his camper in Cape May.

Beloved husband of 67 years to Catherine E. MacDonald (nee Dorr).  Devoted father of Ann Zavis (the late Joseph), Nancy MacDonald, and Lisa MacDonald (James).  Loving grandfather of Lauren Caple (Austin), Briana Rohe, and Stephanie Rohe.  Loving great grandfather of Austin Caple and Camryn Caple.

Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Thursday, January 15th from 9:30 – 11:00 AM at the Farnelli Funeral Home, 504 N. Main Street, Williamstown, where a funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM.  Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Williamstown.
