Elizabeth C. "Bette" Furdyna (nee Myers), age 73, of Mays Landing, NJ, passed away on March 7, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.  Born in Philadelphia, and lived most of her life in Franklinville, NJ, before moving to Mays Landing.

A woman with a heart of gold, Bette was a dedicated daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.  She took great pride in her family, and she was always there when needed.  Her one true passion in life was caring for children. She began by watching a few neighborhood kids, then obtained a certification in early childhood education, and eventually owned her own child care center, better known as "Miss Bette's Little Treasures". She provided a safe, loving environment filled with fun and adventure for the children.

Bette enjoyed her time as a member of the Red Hat Society and at the YMCA.  She organized NY bus trips for friends and family to see Broadway plays.  She volunteered at St. Rose of Lima Catholic School where she started the hot lunch program.  A devout Catholic, she cherished her time spent at church.

Bette enjoyed spending time with her family and looked forward to taking their yearly vacations; she loved camping, and traveling to Disney, North Carolina, and Lake & Shore.   Her family will treasure their annual traditions of Disney on Ice, and decorating for Christmas with ornaments that will be passed down for generations.  Bette has left a void in the lives of everyone she touched.

Devoted daughter of Thomas A. "Bud" Myers and the late Regina C. Myers (nee Carbin).  Beloved wife of the late Wayne Furdyna.  Devoted mother of William "Billy" Furdyna (Donna), Gregory Furdyna, and Lauren Furdyna.  Loving grandmother of Sabrina (Dan), Amber, Arielle, and Kalob.  Great-grandmother of Daniel, Mia, Sebastian, Millie, and Lillian.  Dear sister of Jeanne Jones (Pat), Kathy Marshall (Gary), Buddy Myers (Sissy), Patty Forry (Darren), and Kelly Luers (Keith).  Adored sister-in-law to Billie and her late husband Thomas Furdyna.  She will also be sadly missed by her many loving nieces, nephews, and those who knew her at Miss Bette.

Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Friday, March 15th from 5:00 – 8:00 PM at the Farnelli Funeral Home, 504 N. Main Street, Williamstown, NJ. An additional viewing will be held on Saturday, March 16th from 9:30 – 10:15 AM at Church of the Nativity/ Parish of St. Michael the Archangel, 2677 Delsea Dr., Franklinville, NJ.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 AM.  Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Berlin, NJ.
