Emilio John Villanova, 99, of Gloucester City, NJ, departed this earth with his family by his side on March 21, 2023. Born and raised in Camden, he has lived in Gloucester City for 72 years.
Mr. Villanova was a US Army veteran of WWII. He worked as a boilermaker for Local #13 in Philadelphia before retiring. He enjoyed spending time with his family down the shore.
Beloved husband of 72 years to Lillian "Ludge" Villanova (nee Pryzwara). Loving father of his devoted daughters Denise Burger (David Forand) and Diane Rennles (Gary). Pre-deceased by his son-in-law Richard Burger. Loving grandfather of beloved grandsons Christopher Rennles (Harli) and Matthew Rennles (Samantha). Loving great-grandfather of Cory, Cameron, Jaxon and Sawyer. Dear brother of Violet Cranston, the late Antonio "Tony" Villanova, the late Daniel DiRico, the late Victor DiRico, the late Gus Villanova, the late Edward Villanova, the late Joseph Villanova, the late Thomas Villanova, the late Matilda Woolley and the late Antoinette Villanova.
Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Monday, March March 27 th from 10:30 am – 12:00 noon at the Farnelli Funeral Home, 504 N. Main Street, Williamstown, where a service will be held at 12:00 noon. Burial will follow in St. Josephs Cemetery, Chews Landing.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to St. Mary's Church, 426 Monmouth Street, Gloucester City, NJ 08030.
