Franklyn H. Lord, age 90, of Glassboro, NJ, passed away on December 25, 2023.

Born in Camden, NJ, he lived in Collingswood, Turnersville, and Mystic Island, before moving to Glassboro.  Franklyn proudly served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War.  He retired from the US Navy after 23 years of service; he was proud to be a Shellback and a Bluenose.  He later worked as a tugboat captain for Vane Brothers in Baltimore, MD.  Franklyn was also a member of the NJ Lodge Masons.

He was a talented woodworker and made many furniture pieces and a beautiful lighthouse.  He enjoyed operating his remote-control boat and loved the Gremlin movie; so much that he named his boat Gremlin and was affectionately called it by his grandson.

Beloved husband of the late Grace B. Lord (nee Young).  Devoted father of Douglas and his wife Cindy, Steven, the late Richard and his wife Lorraine, Carl and his wife Jackie, and Franklyn W. and his wife Susan.  Loving grandfather of Benjamin, Candace and her husband Chet, Samantha, Kenny, Jimmy, Jeremy, James, and Miranda. Adoring great grandfather of Madison and RJ. He was predeceased by his siblings Mary Kuzniar, James Lord, Betty Buchowski, and Sonny Lord.   Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation on Saturday, January 13th from 10:00 - 11:00 AM at the Farnelli Funeral Home, 504 N. Main Street, Williamstown, NJ, where a service will be held at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at the Gloucester County Veterans Memorial Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Joseph's Indian School, 1301 N. Main St., Chamberlain, SD 57325.
