Obituary

Gail F. Vita (nee Paxton), age 82, of Williamstown, NJ, passed away on April 28, 2025.

Gail owned and operated the 7-Eleven in Williamstown and later ran Gail and Tom's Deli in Hilltop.  Later she worked as a CNA at Kennedy Memorial Hospital in Washington Twp. before retiring.  A woman of deep faith, she was a devoted member of St. Mary's Church/Our Lady of Peace Parish, where she served as a Eucharistic Minister and was a past Regent of the Catholic Daughters of America #1808.  She was also a member of the American Legion Post #252 Ladies Auxiliary. Gail's greatest joy in life was her family. Her grandchildren were the light of her life, and she especially cherished every moment spent with her great-grandchildren.

Beloved wife of the late Joseph P. Vita.  Loving mother of Michele Hoffman (Hal) and Arlene Nanni.  Treasured grandmother of Giuseppe, Angelo (Lauren), Giovanni (Beth), Mark, and the late Michael.  Great grandmother of Joey, Joel, Elliot, Emilia, Abby, Oliver, and the late Owen Michael. Dear sister of John Paxton (Janet) and the late Richard Paxton.  She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing on Friday, May 2nd from 10:30 – 11:30 AM at the Farnelli Funeral Home, 504 N. Main Street, Williamstown.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00 PM at St. Mary's Church/Our Lady of Peace Parish, Williamstown.  Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park, Hurffville.
