Obituary

Georgeanna "Gigi" Pease
November 5, 1943 -August 11, 2022
Gigi was a resident of Cross Keys and Sicklerville, growing up on a farm where Sam's Club gas station and I-Hop now stand. She was a member of the first class to attend Williamstown High School for four years, graduating in 1962. Over the years, Gigi worked at Graybar in Philadelphia; the Plaindealer; and Barry Decorator's in Cherry Hill. She was a lifelong member of Cross Keys United Methodist Church, where she served as the Council secretary and church auditor. Over the last ten years, Gigi worked as the office secretary for the church.
Gigi was the daughter of the late Agnes and George Pease and dear sister to the late Agnes Margaret (Peg) Ford [George]; Shirley Jennings [William]; and Kathryn (Kass) Verkade [Jay].  She was the beloved Aunt Gi to Michael Ford (deceased), G. Brian Ford (deceased), Douglas Ford (deceased) [Deborah], Darren Ford (deceased), Julie Jennings (deceased), Dawn Jennings, Audrey Andrews [Scott], Sarah Payne [Terry], Jan Verkade III [Stephanie] and Nathan Verkade [Linda]. Gigi was also the much-loved aunt to 18 great nieces and nephews and 13 great-great nieces and nephews.
Gigi was a "no fuss" person who gave freely but wanted nothing in return. God blessed her with so many talents, especially in crafts. She will be remembered as a gifted crocheter and made countless prayer shawls, blankets, and baby items for strangers and friends. For many years she
provided Cooper Hospital with an endless supply of infant blankets and hats. Although her health was fragile in recent years, she was a source of strength to many and "a rock" to her great-great nephews Colin and Damien Ahrens. She had a beautiful soul and will be missed by many, especially her family.
Friends and family are invited to say goodbye to Gigi on Saturday, August 20, 2022, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Cross Keys United Methodist Church, located at 1644 N. Main Street, in Williamstown, NJ. A service celebrating her life will follow at 3:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Cross Keys United Methodist Church Sunday School.
