Gervin E. Parks, Sr., age 83, of Williamstown, NJ, passed away on November 13, 2025.
He was raised in Medford, NJ before moving to Williamstown in 1965. A hard-working man, Gervin worked in the Glassboro school district, various supermarkets, and had a long career with US Air before retiring.
Gervin was a member of the Williamstown Lodge #166 F&AM and the Cecil Fire Company, where he also served as an EMT. He had a remarkable sense of humor, was a NY Yankees fan, and a Donald Duck enthusiast. Gervin loved to travel alongside his wife, enjoyed cruising, recently taking their dream trip to Ireland.
Beloved husband of 60 years to Madeline E. Parks (nee Bailey). Devoted father of Rainee Riggins (Dave), Nathaniel Parks (Sherry), the late Gervin E. "Gig" Parks, Jr. (Carol), and the late Matthew Parks (Terri). Loving grandfather of Erin Gillen (Sean), Kerri Finn (Eric), Kyle Parks (Lauren), Heather Cerrone (Nick), Ryan Parks, Anastasia Hallermeier-Parks, Taylor Riggins (Jack), Rachel Riggins (Steven), and Dylan Riggins. Cherished great grandfather of 8. Dear brother of Dorothy Berkey and predeceased by his siblings, his twin Gordon Parks, Gene Parks, George Parks, Marylou Parks, and Elaine Simmons. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Wednesday, November 19th from 9:30 – 11:30 AM at the Farnelli Funeral Home, 504 N. Main Street, Williamstown, where a Masonic service will be held at 11:30 AM followed by the religious service. Burial will follow in Cross Keys Methodist Cemetery, Williamstown.
