Gordon A. Leslie, Sr., age 90, of Holiday City in Williamstown, NJ, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on March 19, 2022.

Born in Woodlynne, NJ, he formerly lived in Erial, NJ, and Clearwater, FL, before moving to Holiday City in 1996.

Gordon was a graduate of Collingswood High School, Class of 1949.  A gifted athlete, he went on to play baseball at Lafayette College, passing up the opportunity to sign with the Boston Red Sox, to continue his education.  He was the proud Captain of the 1953 Lafayette College World Series team.  After college, Gordon served our country in the US Army.  He was a member of the South Jersey Hot Stovers and was named the Baseball Player of the Century at the South Jersey Hall of Fame in 1999.  He worked as a Postal Carrier, most recently in Oaklyn, NJ, for 30 years before retiring in 1986.  Along with his wife, he was a faithful, longtime member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Williamstown.  Gordon was a hardworking, giving man, who especially loved spending time with his family.

Beloved husband of 64 years to Susanne Leslie (nee Norcross).  Devoted father of Gordon A. Leslie, Jr. (Heidi), Gregory A. Leslie, Sharon S. Calabrese (Stephen), and Donna L. Summerfield (Mark).  Loving grandfather of Eric (Kelsey), Stephen, David (Brinn), Erik, Adam, Michael, and Allison.  Loving great grandfather of Harper and Jace.  Dear brother of the late Joseph Otto Leslie and the late Allen Leslie (the late Evelyn).  He is also survived by many loving friends and neighbors.

Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Saturday, March 26th from 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM at St. John's Lutheran Church, 970 S. Main Street, Williamstown, NJ, 08094, where a funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM.  Burial will follow in the Gloucester County Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Williamstown.
