Obituary

Henry "Jake" Bone, age 58, of Pittsgrove, NJ, formerly of Williamstown, NJ, suddenly passed away on April 25th, 2024, at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Camden, NJ, surrounded by his family.

Born on December 8th, 1965, at the same hospital to Mary Usefara and Aaron Bone, Jake was the youngest of 11 children. Charles, James, Kenneth, Rocco, Mary, Roberta, Cathy, Joann, Deborah, and Roxanne. He also claimed a bonus sister, Maria Pallante of Williamstown, NJ

He built his life alongside of Linda Bone (Neely), accepting two of her children, Ron Wichowski and Stacy Byers (Wichowski) before welcoming two of his own – Charles Bone and Tiffany Suleiman (Bone). With open arms, he later welcomed Charles' partner, Jessica Lee, and Tiffany's husband, George Suleiman, into the family. Jake was also a very loving and fun Pop-pop to Habib and Mia Suleiman and Caiden and Connor Bone.

Jake accepted Jesus into his heart as his personal savior in May of 1993 and was a founding member of Lighthouse Baptist Church in Gloucester City, NJ. He enjoyed many sports. He was a member of his high school's first archery team, enjoyed playing soccer with his classmates, and loved watching WWE Wrestling along with his Philadelphia teams - The Eagles and The Phillies. He successfully supported his family as a residential and commercial painter for nearly 35 years before health issues forced him into early retirement. Even when he stopped working, he was always on the move. You could always find him at one of his favorite places; Shoprite, Ollie's, in the garden planting flowers and crops or at one of the nearby lakes fishing.

Jake was kind, generous and had a natural gift of connecting with people from all walks of life. He was always trying to find a way to help someone in need. He thought laughter was the best medicine and he was the doctor. He was only happy if he could make you laugh. He had a servant's heart and often showed his love by cooking for those around him.

He was the glue of our entire family and will be sorely missed by everyone who was blessed enough to know him.

In lieu of flowers and cards, the family asks that you cook your favorite meal for someone you love or spark a friendly conversation with a stranger.
