Irene Brechka (nee Sosnowski), age 95, of Williamstown, NJ, formerly of Carteret, NJ, passed away on June 22, 2024.

Irene was born and raised in Carteret, NJ, and moved to Williamstown in 1995.  She formerly worked in the accounting department for Supermarkets General in Woodbridge, NJ for 20 years, and retired in 1987.  Irene was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.  Her cooking and baking skills were excellent; particularly her Polish recipes.  She was also a devoted member of Our Lady of Peace Parish and the Seniors Social Club.

Beloved wife of the late Ernest J. Brechka.  Loving mother of Sharon Galvanek (Richard) of Carteret, NJ, and James Brechka (Donna) of Laurel Springs, NJ.  Dear grandmother of Sarah Legg (William), Adam Brechka, and Jordan Brechka (Richard Gore). Adored great-grandmother of Mackenzie and Mia.  Sister of Mary Pusillo of Carteret, NJ, and Rose Yavorsky of Barnegat, NJ.

Services will be held privately.
