Obituary

James W. Haigh, age 87, of Franklinville, NJ, passed away on September 5, 2025.

Born and raised in Philadelphia, he lived in Pennsauken and Williamstown before moving to Franklinville.

Mr. Haigh was a proud US Navy Veteran.  He worked as a truck driver for Edgecomb Steel in Andalusia, PA for many years.  Later in life, he worked as a bus driver for Camden County Technical Schools and helped to guide and transport the ROTC students.  Along with his wife, he was an active member of the Boy Scouts Troop 6 in Philadelphia, where he served as a Scout Master.  Mr. Haigh was also a talented woodworker and an avid bowler.

Beloved husband of the late Barbara Haigh (nee DeWoolfson).  Devoted father of James W. Haigh, III (Rosa), Michael Haigh (Cheryl) and Kathleen Daly (James). Loving grandfather of Nicole Williams (Edward), Corina Starrett (Jimmy), Jonathan Haigh (Meghan), Brandon Haigh (Pauline), Jaclyn Haigh, Timothy Daly, Ashley Rivas (Michael) and Jessica Dougherty (Sean).  Loving great-grandfather of Landon, Jimmy, Damian, Amelia, Benjamin, Oliver, Ellora, Alex, Christopher, Autumn, Declan, and Rosa.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Friday, September 12th from 9:30 – 11:00 AM at the Farnelli Funeral Home, 504 N. Main St. Williamstown, NJ, where a funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM.  Burial will follow in the Gloucester County Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Williamstown.
