Obituary

James L. Pinto, of Collings Lakes, NJ, age 98, passed away peacefully in his sleep at home on June 3, 2025.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, he lived there until moving to Collings Lakes 60 years ago.  Hank worked as a truck driver for A. Penza Trucking in Philadelphia for over 70 years before retiring.  He was a devoted member of Our Lady of the Lakes Church and a member of the Knights of Columbus, where he served as an honorary elder.  Hank enjoyed being outdoors, whether it was hunting or birdwatching.  He was also a talented artist, especially drawing.  Above all, he cherished his family and was known to be the "best Pop Pop ever."

Beloved husband of the late Catherine R. Pinto (nee Aloisio).  Devoted father of Thomas A. Pinto (Kathy), Angelina Homan, Pasquale Pinto, and the late Thomas Pinto.  Loving Pop Pop of Josh (Tina), Melissa (Chris), Carly (Mike), Lindsay (Ryan) and Brittany (AJ). Treasured Great Pop Pop of Josh, Gwen, Corey, Nick, Chase, Fable, Lukas, Parker, Logan, Jaxon, Genevieve, and AJ.  Dear brother of the late Carmella Dupoldt, the late Rachel Pagano, and the late Anthony Pinto (Sarah).  He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Tuesday, June 10th from 9:30 – 11:00 AM at Our Lady of the Lakes Church, 19 Malaga Road, Collings Lakes, where Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM.  Burial will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Hammonton.
