Obituary

Jaxen Ray Donnelly, passed away peacefully at home in Swedesboro, surrounded by his loving family on July 6, 2026 at the tender age of 6.

Jaxen was born on August 26, 2019, bringing a bright light into his family’s lives. Affectionately known as “Jax Jax” “Booger” “Little Man” “Pop Pop” & “Bug,” just to name a few, he valiantly fought a nearly 4-year battle with cancer. He faced every obstacle along the way courageously and with a strength to admire, never giving up. In the midst of all he had to endure, Jax could light up a room with just a smile, a growl or casually showing off his “#1 finger;” he never wanted to see anyone sad and always assured “Jaxen is going to be OK.”

Jax was all boy; loved to swim, go camping, watch the Eagles and Phillies and had a passion for wheels, especially his Monster Trucks, Hot Wheels & Lightning McQueen. He also had an admiration of seeing the EMS, police officers and firetrucks as they drove by. His softer side showed his love for a trip to Target for a hot chocolate and cake pop before shopping and cuddling up in Nonna’s bed for snuggles. He loved his music, especially the Trolls World Tour & K-Pop Demon Hunters hits, rock & roll and playing his very own electric guitar. With an endless imagination, he enjoyed building Legos, playing Roblox, crafting on Minecraft, and scrolling on YouTube. Jax was always sure to have an endless amount of Chester’s Puffcorn, hotdogs with extra ketchup, mint chocolate chip ice cream, whipped cream, and loved trips to McDonald’s for his french fries with sweet & sour sauce. His favorite color was the “rainbow” and he equally valued all of his toys, often packing four backpacks full of things, leaving nothing he cherished behind. He was an avid Disney fan but had a special bond with his buddy Buzz Lightyear, bringing a new meaning to infinity and beyond, a love that will last more than a lifetime.

Cherished son of Brieann Lawrence and Raymond Donnelly, III. Treasured grandson of his ‘Nonna’ Virginia Lawrence, ‘G-Nole’ Nicole Mancini, ‘Pop Pop’ Harry Lawrence, ‘Pop Pop’ Raymond Donnelly, Jr., ‘Oma’ Danielle Donnelly, and his special ‘Mom Mom’ Chenoa Clair. Dear great grandson of his ‘Granny’ Victoria Buoncuore, Steve Buoncuore, ‘Nan’ Karen Stowe, ‘Pop Pop’ Glenn Stowe, Marie Donnelly and the late David VanNote. Loving nephew of Austin Lawrence, Tim Donnelly (Tiff), Hailey Donnelly, and Tiff Donnelly. Beloved great nephew of Christy Shoemaker (Carl) and James Amplas (Stephanie). He is also survived by many loving extended family members and his best friends Charleigh and Ivy.

The family wishes to extend recognition to Dr. Frank Balis, Dr. Phillip “Jay” Storm and all of the oncology team at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia for their unwavering support and care for Jaxen.
