Jeffrey M. Ousey, Sr., age 56, of Penns Grove, NJ, passed away on June 27, 2023.
Born in Philadelphia to John Ousey, Sr. and Judith Ousey, he was raised in Williamstown, NJ and lived in New Castle, DE before moving to Penns Grove.
Jeff was a graduate of Williamstown High School, Class of 1986. He worked as an Armed Security Officer for PSE&G Nuclear in Hancocks Bridge for 31 years. He was a member of the Police Fire Rod and Gun Club and the Irish Parade Group both in New Castle. Jeff loved coaching his children in Little League. He was an avid softball and soccer player in his younger years. He enjoyed playing shuffleboard, doing Legos and watching superhero movies. He took pride in doing yardwork and kept a pristine yard. He was an avid Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles Fan. Jeff enjoyed spending time in upstate New York during the winter months. Christmas was his favorite holiday and he was like a kid decorating inside and outside of the house. Most of all family meant everything to him, spending time with his children, adoring his grand babies and getting family together for crabs and picnics.
Beloved husband of Gail Ousey (nee Mowers). Devoted father of Edward Firth (Meaghan), Jill Sherwood (Nick), Jesseca Ousey and Jeffrey Ousey, Jr. (Yasmeen). Dear stepfather of Steven Williams (Stephanie), Dana Rappa (Scott), Josh Rappa, and Shawn Rappa. Loving grandfather of Madison Firth, Dakota Firth and Bayleigh Firth. Dear brother of James Ousey, Judith Werner (Jeffrey), Jason Ousey, Sr., the late John Ousey, Jr., the late Joseph Ousey and the late Jody Ousey.
Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation on Sunday, July 2nd from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at the Farnelli Funeral Home, 504 N. Main Street, Williamstown, NJ, where a memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM.
