Jerry Lee Clendenen, age 80, of Pitman, NJ went home to be with the Lord on July 22, 2024. Born in Bluefield, VA, he lived in Boissevain, VA before moving to Pitman in 1958.

Jerry worked as a technician for IBM in Philadelphia for over 30 years before retiring, and later worked as a technician for Reliable Copy in Woodbury for 16 years. He was a founding member of the Gloucester County Community Church (GCCC) for 42 years. He served in many capacities at the church throughout the years including: facilitator for the Hope and Faith Cancer Support Group, was one of GCCC's incorporators, served as a board member and as head usher, and often prayed with people after the morning services. Jerry enjoyed hunting, fishing, skiing, collecting coins and knives, fixing things, and spending time with his family.

Beloved husband for 54 years to Sondra J. Clendenen (nee Sofia). Devoted father of Jason Clendenen (Joanna). Loving grandfather of Rachael Clendenen and Alexandra "Lexi" Clendenen. Dear brother of Russell Clendenen (Betty), Deborah Cole, the late Barbara Price and the late Bonnie Leach. Dear brother-in-law of Rev. Dr. J. Bruce Sofia (Sheryl). Also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation on Saturday, September 14th from 12:00 – 1:00 pm at the Gloucester County Community Church, 359 Chapel Heights Road, Washington Twp. (Sewell), NJ, where a memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm.
