"Jack" Burton
August 23, 1947 – July 31, 2021
John T. "Jack" Burton, Sr., age 73, of Williamstown, NJ went home to be with the Lord on July 31, 2021.
Jack formerly worked as a District Council 21, Local Union # 1955 Drywall Finisher. He was currently employed as a Social Worker for the Child Study Team at Delsea Regional High School. Always up for an adventure, Jack was a Harley enthusiast. Much time was spent around a bonfire, while enjoying a good cigar and his love for music. He could fix anything and everything and had a great sense of humor. He was an active member of Calvary Chapel in Turnersville, where he was involved with counseling ministries.
Above all, Jack will be remembered as a selfless, caring man, who loved Jesus, his family, and his friends.
Beloved husband of Jean A. Burton (nee Smith). Devoted father of Lee Cooper (Deborah), John Burton (Linda), Jeffrey Cooper (Kelli), MariaElena Conroy (Tom), Joshua Burton (Donna), and Jacob Burton (Shawn). Loving grandfather of Alyssa, Lee, Jr., Christopher, Alexandra, Jack, Kyle, Raili, Jeffrey, Jr., Ryan, Hailey, Sydney, Tommy, Braxton, Brielle, and Jamison. Loving great grandfather of Judah and Elliana. Dear brother in law of Peggy Burton. He was predeceased by his siblings Rev. Charles Burton, Rev. Joseph "Duke" Burton, Jr., Thomas R. Burton, Sr. and Florence Burton.
Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation on Friday, August 6 th from 9:30-11:30 AM at Calvary Chapel, 5360 Route 42 N., Turnersville, NJ, where a memorial service will be held at 11:30 AM.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a scholarship that has been set up in his honor. Contributions may be sent to Delsea High School Guidance Office, 242 Fries Mill Rd., Franklinville, NJ 08322. Please make checks payable to Delsea High School Scholarship Fund with John "Jack" Burton in the memo.
