John R. "Jake" Patterson, 73, of Linside, West Virginia, passed away on November 29, 2024.  Born in Philadelphia, he lived in the Victory Lakes section of Williamstown before moving to West Virginia in 2002.

Jake was a graduate of Williamstown High School, Class of 1970. He also received an Engineering Degree from Gloucester County Community College.  Jake worked for the State of New Jersey as a Civil Engineer before retiring.  He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Mater Christi Council #3352.  He enjoyed woodworking, painting and drawing.

Beloved husband of Gerry Patterson (nee Prus).  Devoted father of Jack Patterson (Caitlyn), Marvin Dilks, III and Kelly Halstead (Erik).  Dear brother of Edward Patterson, Jr. (Carol).  Loving grandfather of Mystie, Hailey, Devon, Julia, Lorelai, Juliana, Daniel, Drake, the late Aiden, Shawnacy, Karson and Kash.  Loving great-grandfather of 6.  Loving son of the late Edward J. Patterson, Sr. and the late Marie Patterson.  Also survived by his lifelong friend, Ed Lutz.

Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Saturday, December 7th from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at the Farnelli Funeral Home, 504 N. Main Street, Williamstown, where a service will be held at 1:00 PM.
