John J. McDonald, age 82, of Williamstown, NJ, passed away on January 11, 2026.  Born in Philadelphia, he has lived in Williamstown since 1969.

John worked for Retail Distribution Incorporated before retiring.  He enjoyed gardening, cutting firewood, playing horseshoes, playing cards and watching football.

Beloved husband of the late Rosemary Karnuk-McDonald.  Devoted father of Peter McDonald (fiancée Linda), Annmarie Mishoe and the late John McDonald.  Dear father-in-law of the late Karen McDonald.  Dear friend and neighbor of Mark and Karen Izquierdo.  Dear stepfather of Kimberly Young (Ronald, Jr.).  Dear brother of Mary Jane Firth, Kathleen Bertaglia and the late Janette DeMoreland.  Loving grandfather of  Michael, Dawn, John and Destineè.  Also survived by other grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Saturday, January 17th from 2:00 – 3:00 pm at the Farnelli Funeral Home, 504 N. Main Street, Williamstown, where a service will be held at 3:00 pm.  Private burial will be in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery, Williamstown.
