Joseph Phillips, Sr., 60, of Erial, NJ, passed away suddenly on July 30, 2024.

He enjoyed working on cars, motorcycle riding and being a handyman for family and friends. He was the man that was full of love and laughter and always cracking jokes. He was the father that opened his home to you and cooked you a meal if you needed it and treated everyone as family. He was a devoted Dallas Cowboy fan and shared the love for his team with his children. He was a big family man always getting his family together for barbecues no matter how far you live you had to come and play softball.

Devoted father of LaTia Phillips, Tiara Phillips, Sean Barger (Betsy), Kayla Bell, LaToya Phillips (Nikya), Joseph Phillips, Jr., Brandon Phillips and Justin Phillips. His step children Crystal Porch (Dan), Walter Porch Jr, James Porch (Laura), Michael Robinson (Sharron), Amanda Kauffman (Vincent) and Darryl Lewis.  Dear brother of Benny Vaughan (Janie), the late Douglas Phillips, Jerry Phillips (Dawn), Quinton Phillips, Jr., Lorine Phillips and Derrick Phillips (Justyna).  Loving grandfather of Tyreem, Tevon, Jesiah, Skyler, Jordan, Maverick, Jaycion, Kayden, Xeniamarie, Louis, Devon, Geovanna, Aniyah, Angeliya, Lacie, Kyler, Jaxon, Davon, Jaron, Adonis, Deonna.

Relatives and friend are invited to his viewing on Wednesday, August 7, 2024 from 9:30 – 11:00 am at the Farnelli Funeral Home, 504 N. Main Street, Williamstown, where a time of sharing will be held at 11:00 am. Following the time of sharing, a Celebration of Life will convene at 15 Albertus Dr., Williamstown, NJ.
