Remembering Joyce Brenda Fennal (Jaye)

"Life is external, love is everlasting and death is just a horizon." Joyce Brenda (Lomax) Fennel passed away surrounded by family and close friends on May14, 2024. Joyce, affectionately called Jaye, was born on January 6, 1956, in New Jersey to parents John & Joyce Lomax. At the center of Jaye's life was her family, whom she cherished very much. Jaye was baptized on July 24, 1993 as one of Jehovah's Witnesses. She was a proud mother, a hard worker, and she enjoyed caring for her family. Jaye had a huge heart and a great deal of passion for life. She enjoyed the quiet moments of life, often embracing moments like sitting on her front porch watching the birds fly by, while sipping on a good cup of coffee. She enjoyed socializing with others, especially talking to people about Jehovah while in the door to door ministry and through letter writing. She did not hold back from talking to people about Jehovah and about his promises for the future including his promise of the resurrection by means of his Kingdom. She even encouraged and shared her hope with residents while in the nursing home. In December, when first informed of the severity of her medical illness, Jaye said "If I die. I die. Jehovah will bring me back" Jaye was passionate and determined about anything she decided to do- from opening a daycare service from her home, managing her own cleaning company, or selling her homemade cheesecakes. Jaye loved music, dancing, singing, and was especially fond of Whitney Houston. She was creative with her love for interior design & fashion. She always had countless unique ideas. She enjoyed thrifting and loved finding a good deal. Jaye loved Jehovah. She had a full share in the preaching work. This was evident to anyone who entered her hospital room and received a witness from the time they entered until they left. She served Jehovah faithfully until she fell asleep in death. She lived by the scripture found at Ecclesiastes 9:10, which says- "Whatever your hand finds to do, do with all your might, for there is no work nor planning nor knowledge nor wisdom in the Grave" She is survived by her sons, Damon Lomax Sr., Kim (June) Lomax, Ryan Lomax, Damon Jr. (Shalise); her 11 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, her siblings Rodney, Dawn, Kim, Tiny LaShay & Ebonee. Jaye was preceded in death by her loving husband, Victor Fennal, youngest son, Michael V. Lomax, grandson Bryant White, brothers, Wayne and Johnny, and her parents

Relatives and friends are invited to her Memorial Service Saturday, June 22, 2024- 2:00 p.m.at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses 1754 Erial Clementon Road, Sicklerville, NJ
