June Elaine
Samuelian
July 6, 1933 – July 7, 2023
June Elaine Samuelian (nee Meyer), age 90, of Williamstown, NJ, passed away peacefully on July 7, 2023, at home surrounded by her loving family.
June was born in Philadelphia, PA to Edward and Edna Meyer. She stayed in Philadelphia until she was a teenager and then her family moved to Clayton, NJ. June attended and graduated from Clayton High School, where she played field hockey. She shared many fond memories of summers in a cottage on Wilson's Lake in Clayton. June worked as a senior clerk typist for the Gloucester County Board of Social Services before retiring. She was a member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Glassboro for many years and the Eastern Star for over 60 years. June could do it all. She was a talented seamstress, baker, and bowler, and sang in the church choir. She somehow managed to find the time to become a girl scout leader and volunteer at the Red Cross and The Cancer Center. She enjoyed playing pinochle and bingo in her spare time and was an avid Philadelphia sports fan, especially the Phillies and Eagles. June and her late husband, James, loved traveling throughout their marriage. They enjoyed camping and fishing, which she continued to do until a few years ago. Although she lived a very full life, her greatest achievement was raising her five daughters. June was the personal taxi service for her girls. They spent the last few years taking "Girls' trips" together. She was a fabulous wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Each baby born into the family was met with the same excitement and she treasured her family most of all.
June was predeceased by her beloved husband, James Samuelian, her brother, Edward H. Meyer, and her sister-in-law, Alice Huffman. She is survived by her devoted children, Linda J. Campo (Sal) of Silver Spring, MD, Trudy L. Garwood (Glenn) of Winslow Twp., NJ, Stacy A. Scarrow (John) of Punta Gorda, FL, Tammy L. Norris of Somerdale, NJ, and Ginger H. Frantz (Richard) of Clearwater, FL. Treasured brother, Robert Meyer (Joanne). Loving grandchildren, Kevin (Amber), Kristin (Matt), Alex (Stephanie), Neil (Kiley), Natalie (John), Jamael (Kelli), Josuel, and Victoria (Dakota). Adored great-grandchildren, Jamal, Makayla, Payton, Carson, Kane, Leona, Niko, and one more on the way. June is also survived by her son-in-law, Joao, sister-in-law, Doris, and many loving nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to her viewings on Friday, July 14th from 6:00 – 9:00 PM and Saturday, July 15th from 12:00 – 1:00 PM at the Farnelli Funeral Home, 504 N. Main Street, Williamstown. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, July 15th at St. Thomas Episcopal Church, 212 N. Main Street, Glassboro. Burial will follow in Manahath Cemetery, Glassboro.
