Obituary

Katherine May Morris (nee Nichols), age 79, of Williamstown, NJ, passed away December 25, 2021.

Katherine was the daughter of Edna (Bowman Walton) and John Nichols.  She was predeceased by her brother, William Nichols, her sister, Lorraine Emers, and her beautiful granddaughter, Riley.  She was the loving wife of Robert E. Morris, Jr., to who she was married over fifty-three years, before his passing in 2017.  She is survived by her brother, Charles Walton (Karen) of Woodstock, Virginia, her children, Ryan (Kimberly) of Williamstown, and Melissa of Egg Harbor City.  Katherine was the loving grandmother of Robert IV, Shawn, Erin, Riley, Chloe, Julia, and Christian.  She is survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and godchildren.

To many, she was lovingly called, Aunt Kay.  Katherine was also blessed to have a lifelong friendship with Lois Hartka who she met when she was just in fourth grade.

Katherine was a life-long resident of Williamstown.  She was a proud member of the first graduating class of Williamstown High School.  Mrs. Morris worked at Melitta Coffee Company in Cherry Hill, NJ for over forty-three years in their shipping and receiving department.  At the time she retired, she had the most seniority in North America.  She was a member of the Cross Keys United Methodist Church of Williamstown.  Mrs. Morris was also a member of the Williamstown Chapter #149 Order of the Eastern Star where she served as Worthy Matron and as a grand officer.  She enjoyed attending the widows fellowship with her best friend, Lois.  Mrs. Morris was an excellent cook who was famous for her coleslaw, potato salad, and Thanksgiving stuffing.  Katherine was a devoted Elvis Presley fan.  She enjoyed seek and find puzzles.

Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Saturday, January 8th from 2:00 – 3:00 PM at the Farnelli Funeral Home, 504 N. Main Street, Williamstown, where a service will be held at 3:00 PM.  Burial will follow in Cross Keys Methodist Cemetery, Williamstown.
