Obituary

Kathleen "Kay" Mang (nee Himes), age 77, of Winslow Township, NJ, formerly of Woodbury Heights, passed away surrounded by her family on May 22, 2026. Kay was born on July 28, 1948, to the late James Himes and Anne Pietrolungo (nee Granato). She was the beloved wife of the late Ronald ("Ronnie") Mang; devoted mother of Adina Himes (Edward Pearson) and Lauren Ciocco (Joseph "Sonny"); dear sister of James Himes, Joseph Pietrolungo (Geri), and the late Francis Pietrolungo, Jr. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Raised in North Philadelphia, Kay was a graduate of John W. Hallahan Catholic High School, class of 1966. She worked in the wholesale paper industry for over 40 years as a traffic manager. During her working years, Kay was a very committed employee who always had an interest in helping the company become more efficient and profitable. Kay retired in 2014, which commenced the best time of her life.

Kay was a wonderful caretaker, compassionate and selfless, always thinking of others before herself. Kay was known for being an incredible cook and baker whose kitchen was always filled with homemade meals and desserts. Her Christmas cookies became a treasured tradition that everyone looked forward to year after year.

Kay loved her country and was known in her community for working on the election polls, volunteering at community events, and participating in local political activities. She treasured the new connections she made after moving to Winslow Township in 2017. In May 2026, Kay made the ballot for Female Members of County Committee At-Large, which she was very proud, but she passed away before the election.

Kay had a creative spirit and found great joy in crafting. She loved to make handmade gifts for family, friends, and the many nurses and doctors that cared for her over the years; putting thought and love into every creation. She was a devoted fan of the Philadelphia Phillies and Flyers and enjoyed cheering on her favorite NASCAR drivers, especially alongside her friend Wayne.

Kay loved to travel, and she cherished taking peaceful cruises with her dear friend, Kathy. There are so many beautiful things to say about Kay that the list could continue forever. Above all, she will be remembered for her loving heart and devotion to her family and friends. She will be missed immensely by all who knew her.

Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, from 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM, at the Farnelli Funeral Home, 504 N. Main Street, Williamstown, NJ.
