Laura Katherine Sarafian (nee Terzian), age 97, of Holmdel, NJ, went home to be with the Lord on October 11, 2024.  Mrs. Sarafian was raised in Williamstown, NJ, lived in Flushing, NY for many years before moving to Matawan and Holmdel, NJ.

Beloved wife of the late Al (Abraham) Sarafian.  Devoted mother of John, Steven, Virginia, and Richard (Yolanda).  Dear sister of the late Alice Hilley, Pauline Matese (the late Thomas), the late Anita Farnelli (the late Stephen) and the late Charles Terzian (Eleanor).  Loving grandmother of 8 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Laura was a long-standing member of the First Baptist Church of Matawan, even after she wasn't able to come in person.   She was a former member of several Senior Citizen Clubs. She enjoyed cooking Armenian food and spending time with her family.

Laura spent her early years working on her family farm, gas station, and dry cleaning business.  A dedicated wife and mother, she was also a Sunday School teacher in the Armenian Church, and a successful Tupperware Manager. Her home was always open, welcoming family and friends with delicious traditional Armenian foods she would prepare.

Laura's sense of humor and beautiful smile was a joy to all.

Relatives and friends are invited to her graveside service on Friday, October 18th at 1:30pm at the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Memorial Veterans Cemetery, 350 Province Line Road, Wrightstown, NJ.
