Obituary

Leon A. “Renny” Rennebaum, Jr., age 77, of Williamstown, NJ, passed away on June 21, 2026.

A lifelong resident of Williamstown, he was a graduate of Williamstown High School, class of 1967. He later went on to receive his Bachelor of Science from Drexel University in 1972. Renny worked as a civilian Mechanical Engineer for the US Navy for 38 years before retiring in 2005.

Renny had a love for cars, going to the Atco Raceway, and attending car shows where he proudly displayed his ’67 Nova. He also enjoyed playing softball in his younger years. Renny had an unwavering love for all of his animals through the years. A true family man, he cherished time spent together, whether it was a holiday, family gathering or to the many memorable trips taken together. He especially enjoyed visiting amusement parks and camping with those he loved. Renny was known for his kindness and generosity, always willing to lend a hand and his time.

Dear son of the late Leon A. Rennebaum, Sr. and the late Helen Rennebaum (nee Leonhardt). Beloved husband of 53 years to Elizabeth A. “Liz” Rennebaum (nee Hamas). Dear brother of the late William E. Sharp (the late Joan) and brother-in-law of Jeanette Todd (Wayne), the late Veronica Joseph (the late William), and the late Maureen Campbell (John). Treasured uncle of William (Betty), Carol (the late Gig) (Scott), Laura (Joel), John, Steven (Kate), Cindy (Mike), Paul, the late Karen (the late Jim), and many grand and great nieces & nephews. Dear son-in-law of the late Michael and Vera Hamas. Loving cousin of Gil Miller (Gail). He is also survived by his cherished cats Willow and Milo and many dear friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Wednesday, July 1st from 6:00 – 9:00 PM and on Thursday, July 2nd from 9:30 – 10:30 AM at the Farnelli Funeral Home, 504 N. Main Street, Williamstown. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 11:00 AM at St. Mary’s Church/Our Lady of Peace Parish, S. Main St. & Carroll Ave. in Williamstown. Entombment will follow in All Saints Cemetery, Franklinville.
