Louis J. Fortuna, age 97, of Williamstown, NJ, formerly of Philadelphia, PA, and Pennsauken, NJ passed away on August 15, 2026.

Louis was a proud United States Army veteran whose service to his country was a source of great pride throughout his life. He enjoyed the simple things in life, especially a delicious meal and discovering new places to eat. A true foodie, he loved going out to restaurants with family and friends. Family meant everything to him. He treasured time spent with them and was always happiest when surrounded by the people he loved. He also made it a priority to stay connected with friends he had made throughout his 42-year career at Bell Atlantic/Verizon. Every week, he looked forward to getting together with his old work buddies, keeping his friendships strong.

Beloved husband of the late Libby G. Fortuna. Devoted father of Nancy Fortuna, Carl Fortuna (Marianne), Michael Fortuna (April), Adele Lanzalotti (Rich), and Gina Fortuna (Tom Shemeley). Loving grandfather of Christopher, Melissa, Tyler, Rebecca, Marina (Michael), Victoria, Rachel, Justin, Amanda, Keely, Caitlin and Chas. Dear great-grandfather of Anthony, Christopher, Louis, Giovanni, and Elijah.

Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Tuesday, August 18th, from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM, at the Farnelli Funeral Home, 504 N. Main Street, Williamstown, NJ. Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in the Gloucester County Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Williamstown, NJ.
