Margaret M. “Peg” Burton (nee Gallagher), age 89, of Williamstown, NJ went home to be with the Lord on August 19, 2026. Born and raised in Philadelphia, PA, she lived in Williamstown, NJ for 33 years and moved to Crossville, TN in 2006 before returning to the area in 2017.

She enjoyed shopping at Walmart and Sam’s Club, watching Charles Stanley, watching The Young and the Restless and The Bold and the Beautiful, reading the Bible and treasured time spent with her family.

Beloved wife of 60 years to the late Rev. Joseph Daniel “Duke” Burton, Jr. Devoted mother of Joseph Burton, III (Wendi), Mark Burton (Monica) and the late Margaret “Peggie” Tursi. Loving grandmother of Ralph Andrews, Matthew Andrews, Joseph Burton, IV, Kylie Burton, Jacob Burton (Lauren), Jeremy Burton, Brandon Blatt (Shawnee), Christiaan Blatt (Chloe) and Madison Blatt. Loving great-grandmother of Haven & Crew Burton, Nadeya, Oliver, Jude, Ida, Joani and Reuben Blatt. Loving daughter of the late John and Katherine Gallagher. Pre-deceased by her siblings Jack Gallagher, Tom Gallagher, Joe Gallagher, Michael Gallagher, James Gallagher, Mary Mitchell, Theresa McGregor, Rose Fitzgerald and Sally Gallagher.

Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Tuesday, August 25th from 9:30 – 11:00 am at Calvary Chapel, 5360 Route 42 N., Turnersville, NJ, where a service will be held at 11:00 am. Burial will follow in Cross Keys Methodist Cemetery, Williamstown.
