Obituary

Matthew Baird Parks, 56, of Williamstown, NJ, passed away peacefully surrounded by love and his family on December 21, 2023.

Matt was a graduate of Williamstown High School, Class of 1986.  He formerly worked for the American Galvanizing and later became an employee of Monroe Township Public Works.  He met his wife, Terri, in 1988 and together they created a beautiful life with their children and many family pets along the way.  He was a coach for both Monroe Township Little League, as well as Monroe Township Street Hockey League.  He was an avid Philadelphia sports fan with a love for baseball, hockey, football, and memorabilia.  Matt had a love for the outdoors but most especially for fishing.  He was very interested in genealogy and family ancestry and very talented with research pertaining to the subject.  He was a very hardworking man who loved his job and his family.  He has always been a very dedicated and dependable individual.  He was a lover of dogs but most especially his own dogs, as well as his grand dogs.

Beloved husband of Theresa Parks (nee Hallermeier).  Devoted father of Heather Cerrone (Nick), Ryan Parks, and Anastasia Parks.  Loving son of Gervin Parks, Sr. and Madeline Parks.  Dear brother of Rainee Riggins (Dave), Nathaniel Parks (Sherry), and the late Gervin Parks, Jr. (Carol).  Proud Godfather and Uncle to many loving nieces and nephews.  Dear son-in-law of Joseph and Linda Hallermeier and Pearl Hallermeier.  Brother-in-law of Joseph, Michael, and Kelly Hallermeier.   Also survived and loved by many special aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Tuesday, January 2nd from 10:00 – 11:00 am at the Farnelli Funeral Home, 504 N. Main Street, Williamstown, NJ, where a service will follow at 11:00 am.  Private cremation to follow.
