Mayda Velazquez, age 74, of Philadelphia, PA, passed away peacefully on March 13, 2025.

Mayda was born in Ponce, Puerto Rico to Felix and Irene Velazquez.   She grew up in Brooklyn, NY, and moved to Philadelphia in 1974.  In her spare time, she enjoyed life, family, work and going to the casinos.

Devoted mother of Jayanna. Loving sister of Aida Garcia, Edwin Velazquez, the late Nerva Velazquez, Felix Velazquez, Jr., and Hector Velazquez. Treasured aunt of a host of loving nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing on Saturday, March 22nd from 2:00 – 3:00 PM at the Farnelli Funeral Home, 504 N. Main St. Williamstown, NJ 08094, where a funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM.  Burial will follow in Cross Keys Methodist Cemetery, Williamstown.
