Obituary

Melissa Ann "Mitzi" Finnegan (née Price), age 65, lifelong resident of Franklin Township, NJ, passed away on November 28, 2024, with her loving family by her side.   After a long and courageous battle with cancer, Melissa found rest, leaving behind a legacy of strength, love, and laughter.

Melissa was born in Elmer, NJ, to Frank C. Price, III, and Rena L. Maurer (née Dineen).  She was known for her vibrant spirit, humor, and deep love for her family.  She was a devoted mother and grandmother who cherished every moment with her loved ones.   She shared a special bond with her granddaughter, Morgan, and her great nephew, Damien. Known for her quick wit and laughter, she was the life of the party and a champion Mad Libs player. Mitzi brought joy to those around her with her love for life and her appreciation of all things wild and beautiful.

In her younger years, Melissa was a talented ballet dancer, and her passion for dance, especially ballet, was something she passed down to her beloved granddaughter. She enjoyed dressing up for evenings out, sharing steak dinners, and spending time with her lifelong friend, Debbie, at rock concerts.

Mitzi had a special bond with animals and adored her dogs, treating them as part of the family. Her warmth, humor, and zest for life will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Melissa is now reunited with her parents, siblings, nephew, Zachary A. Snead, and many other loving family members who passed before her.  She will forever be remembered for her love, laughter, and the beautiful memories she created.

Devoted mother of Jessica Finnegan (Andrea Clarke) and Daniel J. Finnegan, Jr. (Shannon M. Finnegan).  Loving grandmother of Morgan.  Dear sister of the late Francis A. Price (Marianne), the late David E. Price, and Regina L. Snead (the late Dennis).  She is also survived by loving nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing on Friday, December 6th from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM at the Farnelli Funeral Home, 504 N. Main St. Williamstown, NJ, where a service will follow at 12 Noon.  Final disposition will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Homeward Bound Animal Rescue, 125 County House Road, Blackwood, NJ 08012. www.homewardboundnj.org
