Born in 1936, he has lived in Williamstown for over 88 years. He worked at Garden State Water Company (later Aqua), where he worked diligently until his retirement. A passionate outdoorsman, Jake was an avid hunter, skilled in archery, and enjoyed hunting trips in Pennsylvania, Kentucky, and Maine. He enjoyed farming, quad riding, and baseball games with his grandson Joey. He had a deep love for riding quads, skeet shooting, and spending time with his beloved dogs, all of which were central to his vibrant and adventurous spirit. He held many water licenses and certifications and was a proud Class A licensed heavy machine operator. He was proud of his Ukrainian heritage and enjoyed participating in many church picnics throughout his life.
A devoted family man, he was a steadfast supporter of his grandchildren, attending their sports events, even coaching at times, and taking great joy in watching them excel. He loved baseball and cherished every game with his grandson, though his passion for football was equally strong.
