Pauline Ann Downing (nee Dunkley), age 89, of Williamstown, NJ, passed away on March 8, 2026.  Born in Leicester, England, she has lived in Williamstown since 1970.

Pauline worked for Jones and Shipman in England, where she met her husband before moving to the United States.  In her younger years, she loved going out on the boat, fishing and roller skating.  A woman with many talents, she enjoyed knitting, sewing, doing ceramics, and loved to dance.  An avid animal lover, she adored her many cats and dogs through the years.  Above all, she was a devoted homemaker, cherished cooking for her family and time spent together.

Beloved wife of the late David Downing.  Devoted mother of Maria Mead (Scott), Lesley Onda (Ed), and Martin Downing (Mechell).  Loving grandmother of the late Michael, the late Alexis, the late Christina, Brian, Lauren, Heather, Jenna, Carrie, Stephanie and Christina.  Loving great-grandmother of Tylor, Dylan, Noah, Benjamin, Valor, Theodore, Brynlee and Beckett.  Dear sister of Patricia, the late Brian, the late Joan, and the late Barbara.  She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Monday, March 16th from 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM at the Farnelli Funeral Home, 504 N. Main Street, Williamstown, where a funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM.  Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park, Hurffville.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Gloucester County Animal Shelter, 1200 N. Delsea Drive, Clayton, NJ 08312.
