R. Edward Foran, age 97, of Holiday City in Williamstown, NJ, formerly of the Germantown section of Philadelphia, passed away on October 19, 2024.

Ed was a US Army veteran, later working in sales and as a driver for Stroehmann in Norristown, PA, before retiring.  After retirement, he worked for La Salle University in the book store.  Ed was active in the Holiday City community where he was a part of the pancake breakfast and opening the gym on a daily basis.  He was a member of St. Mary's Church/Our Lady of Peace Parish and volunteered for the yearly church carnival. In his younger years, Ed was an avid golfer and enjoyed skiing.  Above all, he cherished being with his family.

Beloved husband of 72 years to the late Margaret R. Foran (nee Kontuly).  Devoted father of the late Raymond E. Foran, Marge Pool (Ed), Kathy Gillespie, Rick Foran (Edna), and Michael Foran.  Loving grandfather of Ed Pool (Ilana), Melissa Spadea (Matt), Andrew Gillespie and great grandfather of Kylee and Joey Spadea.  Dear brother of the late Thomas Foran and the late Earl Foran.  He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation on Tuesday, October 29th from 10:00 – 11:00 AM at St. Mary's Church / Our Lady of Peace Parish, S. Main St. & Carroll Ave., Williamstown.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM.  Inurnment will follow in the Gloucester County Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
